As you may be aware, Plymouth City Council, University of Exeter, Livewell Southwest and Barnardo’s have been engaged in research to work together with families to explore service delivery to ensure that they feel supported and not judged.
The aims of the project were to i) to ensure families at the centre of the Early Help Assessment process were engaged in reshaping the EHA framework and its delivery in a way that they feel is appropriate and responsive to their needs; and ii) to strengthen workforce skills and capacity (using feedback from families) to provide more effective whole-family support. In addition, some of the parents involved in the research have co – created an animation on ‘EHAT- A parent’s perspective’.
This half day seminar will discuss: outcomes from the project, including family and service provider feedback; potential refinements to the training programme; how a co-creation and co-delivery approach can be embedded within public service responses across Plymouth and more widely across the South West.
