Meeting Centre Workshop – The Association of Dementia Studies

The Moments Hub in New George Street will be hosting a workshop facilitated by the Association for Dementia Studies and the University of Worcester on Wednesday 8th of May (1pm – 4:45pm).

The overall aim of the workshop is to look at the setting up of Meeting Centres in local communities. This will serve as part of a UK-wide programme with Meeting Centres working in communities to support people directly affected by dementia.

The following items will be covered (more information can be found on this leaflet:

  • Meeting Centres Background – history, principles and ethos
  • How to run a community engagement event
  • How to set up a Meeting Centre Planning Group
  • Creating an implementation plan
