Music Group for the Bereaved

For almost a year now, we have been running a music group for bereaved people.  All are welcome, whether their loved one was cared for by St Luke’s or not.

The group takes place every 2 weeks on a Wednesday in the Conservatory at our Specialist Unit at Turnchapel. It is run in partnership with Plymouth Music Zone.  Debra, the musician, brings in all kinds of percussion instruments in particular but there has also been a chance to try out guitars, ukuleles, and even saxophones!  A keyboard has been donated to the group and we also have been given a beautiful banjo and tambourine.  We sing all sorts of songs and one of the members has created our very own book of lyrics.

The focus of the group is socialising and having some fun.  Members tend to stay on for lunch afterwards.

Please promote the group in your conversations with people and your networks.  No prior musical knowledge is required to join in.

Want to know more, please contact  Jutta Widlake on 07917233322

The next group session is on Wednesday 21st March.
