Public Health England launches 'Rise Above' programme for schools

Our friends at Active Devon have drawn our attention to a new programme for schools that Public Health England (PHE) have launched which will introduce new coping strategies to help children deal with modern life, with the aim of improving their resilience and mental wellbeing.
PHE are delivering these strategies through new resources for teachers of secondary schools which will be implemented into lesson plans with a focus on coping with the ups and downs of social media, amongst other important topics such as coping with exam stress, alcohol/smoking and friendships.
For more information please see this article on the PHE website: https://www.gov.uk/government/news/phe-launches-rise-above-for-schools-programme
The Rise Above website can be found here: https://riseabove.org.uk/ – aimed at children it is an accessible one-stop-shop for everything to do with their mental wellbeing in and outside of school.
